[In]Visible, 2

[In]Visible, 2 culminated a semester of work that increasingly focused on relationship. Its concept was simple: make visitors to a one night MFA gallery opening aware of connections being made among them by drawing the space created by their physical positioning as they talked and viewed art together. A single candle carried by collaborating artist Amanda Bialk served as both a way to “shine a light” on what was happening as guests of the show socialized, and to suggest the sacred nature of human connection by bringing some of the trappings of religious ritual into the room.
