[In]Visible: Ties That Bind

A collaboration with Jeni Hansen Gard, [In]Visible: Ties That Bind began with five participants sharing a meal, while materializing the invisible dynamics that occur when people come together at the dinner table. The remnants of that experience, in the form of silk strands either given or held back, comprise the visual and material record of the more ephemeral interplay among those who sat, talked, shared food, felt, thought, and engaged in gestures of giving, receiving, and holding strands as they experienced what each defined as connection or separation.
